Hayfield Meadow Grasses & Creatures

“Hayfield Meadow Grasses” is a pencil canvas manufactured from two photographs dated 2121hrs 8th July and 2044hrs 15th August 2022. 

The principal composition is produced from the before photo.  Cottongrass (mid-centre-right) is extra for artistic effect from the latter photograph.  I saved the cottongrass macro-composition derived from its same impression.

The artwork is in the fashion of plant pressings located in botanical publications. Also, early scientific drawings, which day at the minimum all through the past two millennia. 

The artwork is produced in just 30 minutes.

As you can see with comparing my artwork with the images, I involved two buttercups and the sense of the meadow grasses moving. The cottongrass in the latter photograph features 3 horizontal and 3 vertically positioned depictions of same.

Even though I did not check out to manner a confront from the cottongrass, it does appear to look as such. Also the buttercups just take a comparable variety, showing up as eyes. I completely love this piece. Very truthfully it’s as ideal as I would hope for in my ‘planning’ an artwork.

I write ‘planning’ [an artwork] since I rarely do so. Most of my get the job done is spontaneous as I draw or paint and so on.

In fact in my alternatively spontaneous temper, please let me share with you an artwork I designed on/just before 29th June 2022, in close to 1 hour and ten minutes. Entitled: “Gosling Strolling About”:

I did not sign “Gosling Strolling About” at the time as I was not sure if I beloved the artwork. I do. Though I shall most likely not signal this artwork for no reason whatsoever. Except.. I enjoy this as it is on the canvas.

Additional spontaneity. Below are two canine artworks. Two distinctive young canines from within just my family members. I’m not guaranteed I ever drew a canine in advance of as an grownup, to be completely truthful.

Incredibly for the artwork, “Untitled Pet Portrait” options a very energetic family doggie.

Following we have a second spouse and children canine, a mischievous adorable puppy dog, I shall simply call “Untitled Pet dog Relaxing”:

This loved ones pup located it all rather hilarious for me to chase him as he ran all over with some backyard bouquets in his mouth the other working day. Below, he is pictured stress-free less than some shade on the lookout at me in July.
