“One particular of my just lately completed pieces is called Loire Valley Twilight. This piece was primarily based on a plein air sketch manufactured in 2018 and showcased a degree of realism. Even so, it is a meticulously composed piece wherever I had to prepare, invent and redesign all the features to make the composition function. This consists of hues, values as nicely as the person factors in the painting. For example, the boats in the foreground have been completely manufactured up dependent on the typical kinds of vessels you’d find along the river. The values were being also diligently executed to make that specific time of working day when the sunshine sets, and the very first lights of the metropolis occur on.”
